Dan Preotescu has a Ph.D. in Reliability of the Power Systems and currently works for Romanian Energy Centre as Senior Advisor for European Projects. During an activity of more that 20 years in the Romanian and European Power Sector he actively participated to the developments of the national and regional electricity markets in South-eastern Europe and more recently was deeply involved in the integration of the renewable energy sources into the Romanian Power Systems both in the technical and regulatory aspects. He published “Economic Parameters Based Reliability Models. Using Petri’s nets for Power Grid Analysis” in 2001, in Bucharest and he also published numberous papers regarding power sector issues, in Romanian and European scientific magazines.
