1988, MSc E.E., The Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
Senior Researcher, Head of Research Group at Center for Electrical Power and Energy at DTU Electrical Engineering
Henrik W. Bindner has been working with integration of renewable energy since 1990. Focus has been on intelligent energy systems in particular the use of demand side flexibility and coupling of different energy domains to improve integration of renewable energy. The work has included modelling, design and analysis of control, automation and ICT systems for the coordination and realisation of the demand side potential. A very important element to achieve this has been the participation in development of experimental facilities and living labs that are appropriate for research in intelligent energy systems. This has included the SYSLAB facility at DTU that is currently being extended to a multienergy facility with electricity, heat and gas.
