Carlo Muscas

Biography

Carlo Muscas (M’98, SM’15) received the M.S. (cum laude) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy, in 1994.
He was Assistant Professor (from 1996 to 2001) and Associate Professor (from 2001 to 2017) with the University of Cagliari. Since 2017 he has been a Full Professor of Electrical and Electronic Measurement with the University of Cagliari.

His current research interests include the measurement of synchronized phasors, the implementation of distributed measurement systems for modern electric grid, and the study of power quality phenomena. He has authored and co-authored more than 130 scientific papers and is currently the Chairman of TC 39 (Measurements in Power Systems) of IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society.
